Docent Training – I & M Canal, Chicago Neighborhoods

Dr. Michael began training docents by presenting a class for the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s docent training program back in the 1980s. In 1999 he partnered with Rolf Achilles to develop a bus-guide docent training class for the I & M Canal National Heritage Corridor, training more than two dozen volunteers. In 2009 and 2010 he again worked with Rolf and other associates to develop docent training programs for over a dozen Chicago neighborhoods as part of the Daniel Burnham Plan of Chicago Centennial
