As Chair of the Senior Advisory Board and later as Executive Director of the Global Heritage Fund from 2012 to 2015, I helped create new heritage development projects in the minority villages of Guizhou, China and the Carpathian villages of Transylvania, Romania. I also participated in ongoing projects at Banteay Chhmar in Cambodia, Ciudad Perdida in Colombia, El Mirador in Guatemala, and led exploratory missions to Peru in 2012 and Tripoli, Libya in 2013.  In 2024 the Chinese and Colombian projects were incorporated into the World Monuments Fund portfolio as GHF disbanded.
